Muay Thai Seminar by Shihan George Kolovos

Shihan George Kolovos has over 30 years of experience in the martial arts, is a highly respected Instructor, and Blitz Magazine Hall of Fame Instructor of the Year in 2003. He will be sharing his wealth of knowledge in traditional Muay Thai at this Seminar.

The first hour will cover various Muay Thai pad drills where you will learn how to clinch and control your opponent using the correct footwork, as well as elbow and knee from close range for maximum effect.

The second hour will focus on sparring drills where we will apply the clinching techniques learnt earlier in the seminar, as well as effective counter-attacks and escapes from the clinch.

The Seminar is open to practitioners of all martial arts styles, and will cater for beginners to advanced levels.

Bring your boxing gloves, shin pads, Muay Thai pads, mouthguard and groin guard (for males) ā€“ some equipment will be supplied.

Time: 7:30pm ā€“ 9:30pm (Registration at 7pm)

Venue: Martial Arts Hall, Building 1, Sports & Rec Centre, Wellington Rd, Monash University, Clayton (Please note that we might relocate to Squash Courts 12 & 13, depending on numbers).
