NAS Round 1 - Sun 12 Feb

The Monash University Kickboxing Club will be getting involved in the National All Styles (NAS)Championships in 2006.

There are new rules being trialed in the Black Belt division, as well as extra divisions being created.

The National Titles for the NAS will be held in Melbourne this year, so those of you who qualify for the Nationals will not have to travel interstate to compete.

Even if you have competed in the NAS previously, I highly recommend that you attend Round 1 to get an idea of how the new rules will affect you. Those who have not competed in the NAS before, but would like to do so, will need to attend Round 1 as a spectator also.

Note that there is a new venue. The NAS will no longer be held at the Springers Leisure Centre:

• New Venue: Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Aughtie Drive, Albert Park
• Date: Sunday 12 February 2006
• Time: Competition starts at 9:30am.
• Spectator Fee: $8 for Adults, $6 for Children
  

Note that Sunday morning class will be on this Sunday 12 Feb from 10am - 12pm, so you can still train in the morning then come by the tournament after class. The adult divisions generally begin later in the day.
